TWO-YEAR AND THREE-YEAR SCHOLARSHIPS
| Army ROTC tuition scholarships are valuable in many ways: * Flexible options based on the time remaining to complete your degree * Four-year scholarship * Three-year scholarship * Two-year scholarship * Pays for your college tuition * An associated stipend pays for some living expenses * Additional allowances pay for books and fees Whether you're a college-bound high school student or already attending a college or university, Army ROTC has scholarships available. Scholarships are awarded based on a student's merit and grades, not financial need. There are three types of Army ROTC scholarships: The 4-Year Scholarship is recommended for high school students planning on attending a four-year college program, or college freshmen in their first year of a five-year undergraduate plan. Contact your high school academic advisor or your Military Science department for more information. To qualify, you must: * Be a U.S. citizen * Be between the ages of 17 and 26 * Have a high school GPA of at least 2.50 * Have a high school diploma * Meet physical standards * Agree to accept a commission and serve in the Army on active duty or in a Reserve Component ( U.S. Army Reserve or Army National Guard) The most competitive candidates for an Army ROTC 4-year scholarship will have a SAT score of 1100 an ACT score of 24. Two and Three Year Scholarships The two-year and three-year scholarship are available for students already enrolled in a college or university with two or three academic years remaining. To qualify, you must: * Be a U.S. citizen * Be between the ages of 17 and 30 * Have a college GPA of at least 2.50 * Have a high school diploma * Meet physical standards * Agree to accept a commission and serve in the Army on active duty or in a Reserve Component ( U.S. Army Reserve or Army National Guard) * Must have scored at least a 920 on the SAT or 21 on the ACT The Army ROTC scholarship at Georgia Southern University pays Full-Tuition-and-Fees, plus an annual book allowance of $900 and monthly spending allowances (freshmen $300, sophomores $350, juniors $450 and seniors $500). Cadets also receive nominal pay, room and board, and reimbursement for travel expenses when participating in LDAC and other summer leadership development programs. |
