LTC George Fredrick
LTC George Fredrick was born in Fairfax, South
Carolina. He is a graduate of Texas State University, and as a member of the
ROTC Program graduated as a Distinguished Military Graduate in 1987 with a
Bachelor of Science in Education. He was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in
the Infantry. LTC Fredrick is also prior-service and spent his enlisted
tour with 1-8 Cav 1st Cavalry Division. LTC Fredrick holds a Specialist in
Education Administration from Columbus State University, and two Master
Degrees: a Master of Military Art and Science from Ft. Leavenworth School of
Advanced Military Studies (SAMS), and a Masters in Personnel Administration
from Central Michigan University. His military education includes completion
of the Infantry Officers’ Basic and Advanced Courses, the Army Command and
General Staff College, School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS), Joint and
Combined Warfighting School (JPME), Ranger School, Airborne School, and Air
Assault School.
LTC Fredrick has held numerous staff and command
positions in his career. He served as a Platoon Leader, Company Executive
Officer and Specialty Platoon Leader, 1-21st Infantry 25th Infantry Division
(LIGHT), Company Commander, C Company, 2-5 Cavalry 1st Cavalry Division;
Small Group Instructor (SGI) Ft. Benning Infantry School, Chief of Plans 2d
Infantry Division; and Battalion Executive Officer 1-15th Infantry Regiment
(CAN DO) 3rd Infantry Division. His most recent position was the Joint
Planning Group (JPG) Chief at Joint Task Force Civil Support, Ft. Monroe,
VA.
His awards and decorations include the Bronze Star
Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (3d OLC),
Joint Service Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal (3d OLe), Army Good
Conduct Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Humanitarian Service Award,
and the Korean Service Medal.
He is married to the former Cassandra J. Holmes. They have four children,
Patrice, Que Andra, Lamont and Malia.
