Dr.
Bruce A. Schulte is a behavioral biologist who studies communication, social
behavior and foraging in megaherbivores that play key roles in ecosystem function,
specifically African and Asian elephants, Florida manatees and North American
and Eurasian beavers. Dr. Schulte is an Associate Proessor at Georgia Southern
where he has served as the Vice-President and President of the local chapter
of Sigma Xi, The Research Society. Dr. Schulte has a strong history of conducting
research with undergraduate and graduate students, of acquiring funds from sources
within and outside the University, and of publishing in the scientific literature.
Dr. Schulte plans to facilitate undergraduate-faculty research in Technology,
Math and Science through the College Office of Undergraduate Research (COUR)
at Georgia Southern University.
