The grade for the class will be the same for the lecture class (PHYS 2211) and the lab class (PHYS 1113)
- Four tests will be given. Tests will NOT be curved.
- Labs and Quizzes - in almost every class we will have activities like problem solving or doing labs. All these activities will be counted as in-class exercises.
- Homework - homework will be assigned. Although it does not bring in any points for the final grade, it will be required. Students who fail to submit more than 80% of the HW will have their final grade reduced by 20%.
- Final Exam - The final exam cannot be dropped (see below for exception.) The final exam will be given on Friday, May 5, 2005 between 10am and 12noon. The final will be comprehensive.
- Bonus Opportunity - Throughout the homework handout there appear highlighted problems. Students who can solves this set of problems (submitted at anytime of the semester personally to the Instructor,) will receive an "A" grade in the class.

I will prosecute to the fullest extent allowable in the event of academic misconduct. Academic misconduct includes the following: copying the work of other students, looking at the quizzes or exams of others during class. Please consult the Student Conduct Code for further information.
