Curriculum Vitae [doc][pdf]
Research: I am interested in the connections between acoustical, optical, and elastodynamic scattering. I use the Poynting vector (energy flux vector) to visualize the similarities in scattering in these three regimes. I also am interested in physics education research (PER). I am currently using Just-in-Time-Teaching in combination with Peer Instruction as my methodology. I am adapting these techniques to the Studio Physics classroom. I also maintain a general interest in basic questions of physics such as how gravity might be quantized and in topical questions such as climate change.
Publications: I currently have 25 peer reviewed publications and many more contributed talks and presentations.
