Mechanical & Electrical Engineering Technology

Hello and welcome to the Department of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Technology web site at Georgia Southern University. This department offers four undergraduate programs of study in Engineering Technology, Engineering Transfer, and Technical Management. The department also offers a graduate degree program in Master of Technology.

These nationally accredited programs are housed in a modern facility that include the state-of-the-art laboratory equipment. The current faculty are teachers/scholars with appropriate doctorate degree in their fields and substantial industrial experience. Excellence in teaching is of primary importance to our faculty. Faculty are committed to providing high quality technical instruction with hands-on laboratory and field activities. Faculty also take pride in their contributions to reinforce the student's confidence, commitment, competence, creativity, communication skills, and culture and character.

Graduates of our programs are successfully employed in the mainstream industry and broadening high-tech segment locally and nationally. Our graduates are placed in very responsible positions in Engineering and Technical Management. Graduates have also been very successful in advancement to positions such as plant engineers, project managers, plant managers, and presidents of companies.
