The Industrial Management Major leads to Bachelor of Science Degree in Manufacturing. This program prepares the student for a management career in industry, using World Class Manufacturing and Total Quality Management techniques. Georgia Southern's Manufacturing graduates hold positions in manufacturing engineering, engineering management, materials management, human resource protection, environmental control, industrial supervision, production control, and quality assurance.

This program focuses on hands-on applications, so that the graduate understands industry from both the supervisor's and the employees' perspective. Manufacturing students receive their education beyond the classroom and laboratory experience when they work in industry as interns or hold co-op jobs.

The Manufacturing Program with Industrial Management major is accredited by NAIT (National Association of Industrial Technology) and offers two emphases:

  • Manufacturing Technology Management

  • Industrial Safety & Environmental Compliance
