Mechanical & Electrical Engineering Technology

 

The Department of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Technology offers three undergraduate programs of study in Engineering and Engineering Technology. Students can receive Bachelor of Science degrees in Mechanical Engineering Technology and Electrical Engineering Technology. Students who desire a degree in Engineering from Georgia Tech (GT) can enroll in the Engineering Studies program (GTREP/RETP) at GSU and upon completion of the freshman and sophomore years transfer to GT. These accredited programs are housed in a modern facility including state-of-the-art laboratory equipment. All faculty hold doctorate degree and have substantial industrial experience.

The department of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Technology also offers a Master of Science in Applied Engineering with areas of concentration in Mechatronics, Information Technology, and Engineering Management.

The department is committed to providing high quality technical instruction with hands-on laboratory and field activities. Graduates of these programs are successfully employed in the mainstream industry and broadening high-tech segment.
