As used in this document, an "objective" is a statement that describes the expected accomplishments of graduates during their first few years after graduation. The audiences for objective statements are external constituents such as prospective students, employers, transfer institutions and student sponsors.

EET Program Objectives
Within a short period of gaining employment, EET graduates should:

• be able to apply knowledge of electrical devices and systems
• be able to use modern tools including computer systems and software
• be able to integrate theoretical and practical knowledge in the completion of assigned tasks
• be able to communicate effectively in spoken and written form
• be adaptive to a changing environment and new technologies
• exhibit an ability to assist others wherever required and contribute to multi-disciplinary teams
• have an awareness of contemporary professional, ethical, societal, and global issues
