Professional Constructors are working in one of the fastest growing areas of national employment. The Georgia Southern construction management (CM) curriculum provides students with the foundation of knowledge and skills necessary to work toward leadership roles in the profession, people who are able to command attention, direct others to action and think quickly to produce results. This is the case whether the construction might be roads, bridges, buildings, dams, sewage treatment plants, water towers, or a host of other structures that requires the combination of people and materials to get the job done.

The Construction Management program in GSU is designed to produce leaders with the analytical, organizational, technical and communication abilities to direct the most complicated construction operations. This program is accredited by the American Council for Construction Education (ACCE).

The four-year Bachelor of Science in Construction Management degree curriculum provides a blend of management, business, communications, science, math, liberal studies, architectural, engineering and construction courses to prepare the student for the multitude of career options in construction. Professional opportunities for construction graduates include project management, estimating, scheduling, safety, architecture, engineering and project supervision.

Modern and well equipped construction and computer laboratories provide the student with hands-on experience in learning the construction industry. Furthermore a required Internship and field experience give the practical real-world training that will be a plus when looking for a job. Instructors includes professional engineers, architects, builders and construction managers who provide the experience they have gained from the field CM Alumni is an individual who possess the skills and knowledge acquired by education and guided applications to manage the execution of construction works, and serve the construction industry in an intellectual professional and ethical manner.
