Research Experiences for Undergraduates - Summer 2008 How would you like to spend your summer "near the beach" getting paid to do research with faculty who are focused on your success? Would you be interested in gaining valuable experience that will enhance your ability to compete in your career? If so, Georgia Southern is the place for you this summer! The Chemistry and Biology REU program invites you to apply for an exciting summer undergraduate research experience on the beautiful campus of Georgia Southern University. You will spend ten weeks (May 19 - July 25) working closely with faculty mentors and other undergraduate research students on research projects in chemistry or biology. In addition, weekly Professional Development seminars will provide valuable information on topics such as applying to graduate school, preparing an effective presentation, scientific ethics, and more. The stipend for Summer 2008 is $4000, and the program also provides housing in one of Georgia Southern's newest residence halls. Sound great? Apply now and come spend your summer building your future! LSAMP Scholars and minority candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. Persons needing special accommodations should contact Dr. Todd Deal. Application materials must be postmarked no later than March 21, 2008. |
