Dr. Frost received her Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Her research focused on biophysical studies of the integral membrane protein, Ca+2-ATPase. After doing post-doctoral research at Emory University where she used fluorescence spectroscopy to study the aggregation behavior of bile salt / phospholipid aggregates, she eventually arrived at Georgia Southern University where she has maintained a small yet active undergraduate research group that has worked on a variety of biochemical and biophysical projects (see research). When she is not working, she usually is tending to her family, but when she gets the chance she also enjoys running, ultimate frisbee, disc golf, and hiking.
