AWARD RECIPIENTS
The College Award Committees will recognize and reward outstanding contributions of COST faculty members in areas of teaching, research, and service. One award will be made annually in each of the three areas. The committee membership and detailed information on nomination criteria and nominee responsibilities for each committee can be obtained through the following link: HOW TO APPLY.
The deadline for
COST Award of Excellence nominations is Friday, March
5, 2010.
All completed application materials must be in the Dean's Office no later
than March 26, 2010.

COST Staff Award
The Allen E. Paulson College of Science & Technology wishes to recognize the hard work and excellence of our staff members, who support our mission of education, research, and service. In their honor, we have established the COST Award of Excellence for Staff. This award, to be given annually, will recognize in writing and at the Fall COST College Convocation of Faculty and Staff the achievements of a staff member within the college. A cash award of $500 and a ceremonial plaque will also be provided
Eligibility: Only regular Classified and Professional Staff employed for a minimum of one year are eligible. Not eligible: part-time or full-time undergraduate or graduate students enrolled at Georgia Southern. Note: Regular Classified and Professional Staff members taking courses at Georgia Southern through the TAP (Tuition Assistance Program) are eligible to apply. Previous award winners are ineligible to be nominated for three years after winning.
Nomination and Application Process: Nominations for the Award can be submitted to John Pascarella (jpascarella@georgiasouthern.edu) until February 9, 2009. On February 10, nominee's and nominators will be notified. At this time, you will have until February 24th to complete the Endorsement Form for the nominee(s) of your choice. The Associate Dean and an ad hoc committee of staff members (who are not nominees) and/or faculty representatives will then review the submissions during February and early March. The awardee will be notified at the Fall faculty and staff convocation of COST and the plaque and cash award will be distributed at that time.

The COST Staff Award nominees will be notified on Tuesday, February 9, 2010.
The Endorsement Form will need to be completed Tuesday, February 23, 2010.
