The College of Science and Technology (COST) Advisement Center offers one location for first- and second-year students to meet their academic advisor and a career services specialist. They will assist the student during the transition to college life by addressing the student's concerns, providing support, resource information, and referrals as well as course scheduling.

First- and second year students with the following majors will be advised in the COST Advisement Center:

Seventeen faculty advisors, three staff advisors and a career services specialist are here to help first- and second-year students. Our mission is to help first- and second-year students achieve academic and personal excellence by doing the following:

  • Provide academic advisement on major requirements, course selection, and registration.
  • Provide a faculty mentor that may address concerns and provide support. Students meet with their faculty advisor twice a semester.
  • Provide meaningful interaction and mentoring by faculty and other students.
  • Offer on-site career services counselor.
  • Offer workshops on study skills, time management, introduction to resources on campus, and other important topics that impact students.
  • Promote usage of all resources that Georgia Southern University offers.
  • Provide information on scholarship offered by COST departments.
  • Monitor and counsel students’ academic progression.

How to schedule an appointment with the COST Advisement Center:

To sign up for an advising appointment, please follow the directions below:

COST Advisement Center Appointment Procedures
Go to the Appointment Plus website at: https://www.securedatatrans11.com/ap/georgiasouthernuniversitycostadvisementcenter/index.php?page=10

  • Login using your Eagle ID Number. (If you are not permitted to login you will need to register prior to making your appointment. Simply click the Register button and complete the required information).
  • Select your major from the drop down menu.
  • Select the type of appointment from the drop down menu. (If this is your first appointment with your faculty advisor, select Pre-Registration, otherwise select Follow-Up).
  • Select a date from the calendar (this is your advisor’s calendar). Dates highlighted in blue have times available for appointments.
  • Select a time.
  • Click Finalize Advising Appointment to confirm selected day and time.

If you have already met with your advisor and scheduled your follow-up appointment, please use your Eagle ID to login and review the date and time of your future appointment.
